    Yes, every transaction you do with The Meat Merchant is completely safe! To securely process your credit card details The Meat Merchant uses SSL technology and we don’t store your credit card number on our servers.

    The security of your personal information is very important! That’s why we have a giant on patrol!

    Your credit card details are encrypted (SSL) and we will never share your personal details with a third party.

  • Q. Why does it cost less?

    We've done a lot of things to lower our prices.

    We've established true partnerships with farmers, processors and major wholesalers. We've shortened the supply chain, cutting out traditional middle-men and their associated fees. And we're selling it directly, so we're free from the usual retail margins.

    All of this, together, means we can offer our premium meat at a genuinely great price.

  • Q. Do you have Halal meat?

    No, we don't offer Halal meat at this stage.

  • Q. Is my order suitable for freezing?

    Yes, all our products are suitable for home freezing.

    Shelf life of opened vacuum packs (not frozen):
    • Sausages: 2 days
    • Mince (beef and lamb): 2 days
    • Chicken & Pork: 5 - 7 days
    • Beef and lamb strips: 2 days
    • Diced meat: 2 days
    • Thin steaks (minute): 2 days
    • Steaks: 2-3 days
    • Roasts (bone in): 3-4 days

  • Q. Where do you source your products from?

    We use an internationally accredited Australian manufacturer of quality meat products. They produce and distribute an extensive range of protein-based foods; primarily fresh beef, lamb, pork, poultry game and small goods.

  • Q. Do you have gluten free products?

    There are gluten free options available to us, and we will always be sure to mark gluten free products clearly when they're part of an offer.

  • Q. Do you deliver to my area?

    You can check the specific date and times we deliver to your area at check-out before you complete your purchase.

  • Q. Is it safe to send meat via courier?

    Absolutely. We're actually really proud of our delivery innovations - independent tests show our special insulated boxes and ice packs will keep your order well within refrigerated or frozen temperatures during transit. Of course, if anything in your order is unsatisfactory, you can contact us

  • Q. When will my order arrive?

    When you place your order, you will have option(s) to select a delivery time slot that is available for your specific postcode. 

  • Q. What do I do if my order has not been delivered?

    We will do our best to deliver your order within the delivery time slot you have selected on check out.

    If you do not receive your order at the end of the delivery time slot you have selected (please check your receipt in your email which will contain your selected delivery time slot) then please contact us contact us quoting your order/receipt number.

  • Q. What if I'm not in when you deliver?

    When you order you have the option to leave special delivery instructions. Due to the packaging, the box can be left outside for up to 5 hours after it has been delivered.

    If you do not have somewhere suitable to leave the box out of sight such as a porch or back garden, you can arrange to have box delivered to work, or left with a neighbor (hopefully they won’t be too tempted to eat our delicious order before you pick it up!)

  • Q. How is my order prepared?

    Your order will be freshly prepared, packed and placed into specially insulated cartons. These contain state-of-the-art ice gel packs and our couriers are fridged to ensure your meat stay fresh during its journey. Once your order is delivered to your door, be sure to refrigerate it within 5 hours.

  • Q. Why do we vacuum pack our meat?

    Vacuum packing is the process of providing an airtight, moisture-proof package that protects the meat from oxidation, dehydration and evaporation during storage. Once our meat is cut, we vacuum seal it. Generally it lasts for up to 3 weeks in the fridge unopened and for up to 12 months in the freezer without losing desirable eating qualities. Ultimately, this means you can buy more than a week's worth of meat at a time!

  • Q. I am not receiving my The Meat Merchant emails, how do I fix this?

    Sometimes your spam filter can prevent you from receiving The Meat Merchant's fantastic offers in your inbox, this can be changed by:

    1. Logging onto your own personal email
    2. Look into your spam/junk email folder and mark any The Meat Merchant emails as not spam
    3. Or, simply add the emails ‘noreply@email.themeatmerchant.com.au’ and
      ‘noreply@wmail.themeatmerchant.com.au’  to your contact list or address book

    Our email should then be recognised and be sent to your inbox instead of your junk mail folder.

  • Q. Why do I not receive my emails on time?

    Some email security settings are very strict which therefore block automated emails that The Meat Merchant send; by the time the emails have passed through their servers and gone through authentication it can sometimes be too late.

    We currently are aware of this issue mainly with customers using Bigpond email and are currently attempting to resolve this situation. 

    In the meantime you can use a web based email (hotmail, gmail or yahoo) to receive our emails on time.

    Just look for the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the email.

    Or follow these steps:

    1. Login to your The Meat Merchant account
    2. Click on your account
    3. Under "Select your preferences" un-tick the box "Email offers straight to my inbox"
  • Q. I want to buy today's offer. What do I do?

    Hurrah! Just click on the red ‘Buy Now’ button, select a delivery time slot for your postcode and Enjoy!

  • Q. Will I be billed straight away when I click to buy?

    Yes, your credit card will be charged immediately.

  • Q. What payment methods do you accept?

    At themeatmerchant.com.au we accept Paypal, AMEX, Visa and Mastercard.

  • Q. How can I buy a The Meat Merchant deal for a friend?

    To become super popular, purchase a great deal as a gift!

    Just follow these steps:

    1. Click the “Buy Now” button
    2. On Check Out choose “Give this as gift” in the Order Details section
    3. Fill in their name and enter a personal message
    4. Ensure you put the correct delivery address of your friend
    5. Select a delivery time slot for us to deliver your gift to your friend

    Don’t worry, you will receive the receipt, and the price is not mentioned on the packaging.

  • Q. What is The Meat Merchant credit?

    The Meat Merchant credit is currency that can be put towards your next purchase!

    The Meat Merchant credits can’t be exchanged for cash.

  • Q. Do they expire?

    Like all good things, credits have expiry dates.

    You can see the expiry date of your credit in your account area.

  • Q. How do I redeem them?

    If you have The Meat Merchant credit you need to activate it before using it on one of our great deals!

    Just follow these steps:

    1. Login to your The Meat Merchant account
    2. Click on your account
    3. Under "Current balance" click on "Redeem a gift certificate" and enter in the certificate code (you will find the code in the email sent)

    To use your credit, just follow these steps:

    1. Login to your account
    2. Go to the offer you want and click “Buy Now”
    3. On the Checkout page, your credit will appear as a payment method
    4. Select to pay using the credit and enjoy your offer!

    If you can’t see your credit(s) at the Checkout, make sure you’re logged in.

  • Q. Where do I see the offers I've purchased?

    You can find the list of offers in your accounts area:

    1. Login to your The Meat Merchant account
    2. Click on your account
    3. Click on "My Purchase History" to see a list of your recent purchases and receipts.

    You can retrieve your password by:

    1. Login to your The Meat Merchant account
    2. Click 'Forgot Password?' link
    3. Enter your email address that you registered to The Meat Merchant with and press 'Reset'

    Your new password will then be sent to your email

  • Q. How do I change my email address/password?

    The Meat Merchant password genie will grant you a new one! Just follow these steps:

    1. Login to your The Meat Merchant account
    2. Click on your account
    3. Click on “Forgot Password”
    4. Enter your e-mail address that you registered with The Meat Merchant and press ‘Reset’

    Your new password will then be sent to your e-mail.

  • Q. How can I unsubscribe from daily emails?

    Just look for the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of the email.

    Or follow these steps:

    1. Login to your The Meat Merchant account
    2. Click on your account
    3. Under "Select your preferences" un-tick the box "Email great deals straight to my inbox"
  • Q. How do I close my account?

    You can click here to close your account but we’ll be sad to see you go!

    Make sure you have copies of your receipts as you won’t be able to access them on the site after your account is closed.

  • Q. How do I change my billing and/or shipping address?

    You can change your billing and/or shipping address by following these steps:

    To change your billing address;

    1. Login to your The Meat Merchant account
    2. Click on your account
    3. Go to “Saved Card Details”
    4. Remove Card
    5. Fill in new billing address and credit card details

    Please note, your billing address is only used for billing purposes and never for actual delivery.

    To change your shipping address;

    1. Login to your The Meat Merchant account
    2. Click on your account
    3. Go to “Shipping Address”
    4. Fill in your shipping address

    Please note, your shipping address is only used for shipping purposes and not for billing.

    If you have already made a purchase and want to change your shipping address then please contact support. If your order has already been sent to the warehouse then unfortunately we will not be able to change your shipping address for that deal.  

  • Q. I have not purchased from The Meat Merchant before and got the last minute jitters

    That's ok, all we want is for our customers to be happy.
